'Why did Trent Boult bowl only two overs?' - Aakash Chopra Critiques Rajasthan Royals' Bowling Strategy in IPL 2024 RR vs GT
"Why did Trent Boult bowl only two overs? I didn't understand that. Two overs, eight runs, and he bowled only two overs. Why? Keshav gave 16 runs in his two overs, so only 24 runs went in those four overs. Trent Boult could have been given overs in the middle but you didn't do that. You went towards spinners," chopra added

At Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium, the Rajasthan Royals suffered their first IPL 2024 season defeat to the Gujarat Titans in a thrilling match. While the match showcased fireworks with the bat, it also drew attention to the Royals (RR)' bowling strategy, particularly their underutilization of premier fast bowler Trent Boult from New Zealand, as noted by former Indian cricketer commentator Aakash Chopra.

In his YouTube channel analysis of the match, Aakash Chopra voiced confusion over the Rajasthan Royals' decision-making when it came to their bowling resources, particularly with relation to Trent Boult. Unexpectedly, the Kiwi pacer—who is renowned for his ability to swing the ball and take big wickets—was only used for two overs during the game.
"If you are bowling with a dry ball, then if you have scored enough runs, you should have the bowling to defend it. The truth is that Rajasthan has the bowling. They didn't play Nandre Burger but despite that, they have the bowling. Keshav Maharaj made his debut and they got him to bowl only two overs," he added.
Chopra also praised kuldeep sen for his brilliant performance with bowl in hand
"I will praise Kuldeep Sen because he picked up three wickets initially. However, towards the end, he succumbed to pressure. Avesh Khan was also bowling a decent over but then he conceded a boundary. Rajasthan have themselves to blame because you should have won this match after reaching beyond 190," former indian player added via his YouTube channel
