Let’s be honest, this game had all the ingredients of a classic. Delhi batted first and posted 152/7, which wasn’t a massive total, but it was tricky enough on a pitch that offered something for the bowlers. Kedar Jadhav played a spirited hand with 29 off 16 balls, smashing two fours and a six.

It was the kind of innings that didn’t look big on paper but gave Delhi something to fight with. RCB’s chase had the perfect start- Virat Kohli was in top gear. The skipper delivered one of his finest IPL knocks, scoring 65 from just 30 balls. Seven boundaries and a six—Kohli made it look easy.

At that point, RCB looked set for a comfortable win. But as cricket often reminds us, it’s never over until it’s over. A few tight overs, some quick wickets, and Delhi clawed back. Eventually, both teams ended at 152.

The game headed for a Super Over. That is when the big guns stepped up. AB de Villiers showed why he is called Mr. 360. He smashed 13 runs, including two huge sixes off Umesh Yadav, as RCB finished with 15 runs. Delhi tried to respond through Irfan Pathan, who smashed a six, a four, and a single.

However, that was not enough to seal the win for them. Ravi Rampaul bowled with heart as he held his nerve, didn’t panic and ensured Delhi could only manage 11 runs. In the end, RCB deserved the win.

They showed character, especially under pressure. Kohli’s brilliance, AB’s power-hitting, and Rampaul’s calm sealed the win. And if you are an RCB fan, this match is etched in your memory forever.
