Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott believes that his side were not at their best, and gives credit to Towhid Hridoy and Shamim Hossain for playing well and winning the match for Bangladesh.
"We couldn't play the way we play. We lost a few wickets in the powerplay. . The pitch at the start of the game, it looked a little different than in the evening. In this case, we could adapt a little better! But we later turned around and scored a fighting total. It was a defendable score."
"When we started bowling. The ball was dry then. We were playing well then. Was playing great and got ourselves back into the game. That was good."
Trott added, "But the two batsmen of Bangladesh's middle order did a good innings. So credit should be given to them. And overall it was a good match. But between the first 15 overs and the remaining 5 overs, the conditions changed drastically. We ended up getting very close. It was thrilling. Looking forward to the next match."
