The five-time champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI), defeated the Delhi Capitals (DC) at their home stadium, the Wankhede Stadium, and ended their three-match losing streak in the IPL 2024.

After securing their first win of the season against the Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians' pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah heaped praise on his teammate Romario Shepherd for his impressive batting display. Bumrah expressed his delight after the team's victory, highlighting Shepherd's contribution with the bat as a significant factor in the triumph.
