Faf du Plessis pulled off a jaw-dropping one-handed catch during the Qualifier 2 match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2024 between Morrisville Samp Army and Delhi Bulls. Held on Monday, December 2, at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Faf's incredible effort came at a crucial moment, sending Shadab Khan back to the pavilion for a two-ball duck.

That brilliant moment of the game came in the second over of the Delhi Bulls' innings, bowled by Amir Hamza. Shadab Khan, attempting to loft the ball over the covers, mistimed his shot. Positioned at extra cover, the South African batter leaped high, extending his right hand to pull off a breathtaking one-handed catch, stunning both the players and the crowd.

Following the early dismissal of Shadab Khan, Delhi Bulls found it hard to get going. Captain Rovman Powell contributed 13, while Tim David added 24. A late cameo from Nikhil Chaudhary (16 off 8 balls) helped push their total to 89/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Isuru Udana starred with the ball for Morrisville Samp Army, taking 3/17 in his two overs, playing a key role in restricting the Bulls to a below-par total.

In response, Morrisville Samp Army's chase got off to a shaky start, with Faf du Plessis departing early for just 1. Captain Rohan Mustafa followed suit, dismissed for 3. However, Andries Gous anchored the innings with a solid 38 off 23 balls, supported by Jack Taylor, who remained unbeaten on 23 off 11 balls. Together, they steered their team to a comfortable victory, chasing down the target in 9.1 overs with five wickets in hand.
