In the first match of Tuesday’s IPL 2025 double-header Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) faced off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the iconic Eden Gardens and the spotlight once again turned to Digvesh Rathinot just for his bowling but for his now-infamous celebration.

Rathi who has already made headlines in IPL 2025 with his stellar performances and unique style, delivered a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Sunil Narine for 30 off just 13 balls. What caught everyone’s attention though was his revival of the 'notebook' celebration the very act that got him fined and penalized in previous matches.

Interestingly KKR Sunil Narine is Digvesh’s idol. The young Delhi spinner has often said he admires Narine’s style and has even modelled his bowling action ball behind the back and all after the West Indian legend.

While Rathi’s celebration grabbed headlines it was LSG’s batting unit that set the tone. After being put in to bat Lucknow Super Giants posted a massive 238/3 in 20 overs.

Nicholas Pooran once again lit up the innings with a brilliant unbeaten 87 off 36 balls showcasing his incredible hitting power in the death overs.
