RR vs LSG : What a debut! Rajasthan Royals’ young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi made an unforgettable entry into the IPL during the clash against Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The 14-year-old left-hander sent fans into a frenzy when he smashed the very first ball he faced in the tournament a full delivery from Shardul Thakur over the cover fence for a six.

Opening alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal the teenager showed no nerves as he faced his first-ever IPL delivery. And Launched it straight for a maximum. Not many players have hit a six off the first ball of their IPL career and for someone aged just 14 years and 23 days, it’s simply incredible.

With that fearless shot Suryavanshi joined an elite list becoming only the fourth Indian and the 10th player overall to hit a six off the first delivery of their IPL journey. Others on the list include Aniket Choudhary (RCB), Siddhesh Lad (MI), and Sameer Rizvi (CSK).

The young star didn’t stop there. He went on to score a brisk 34 off 20 balls smashing three sixes and two boundaries keeping a strike rate well over 170. 

Unfortunately his innings ended when he was stumped by LSG captain Rishabh Pant and the moment got a bit emotional. Cameras captured Suryavanshi in tears as he walked off touched by the moment and overwhelmed by the occasion.
