Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, former Indian women's cricketer Diana Edulji, and former Sri Lankan cricketer Aravinda de Silva have been recognized by the ICC after successful careers. The three have been inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame on Monday. ICC confirmed the matter by releasing a press release.

Photo: ICC Aravinda, Edulji, and Sehwag are the 110th, 111th, and 112th members of the Hall of Fame respectively. In the ongoing World Cup, they will be felicitated on the field on the day of the first semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India and New Zealand will face each other in the semi-final on that day.

Edulji became India's first woman cricketer to enter the Hall of Fame. The former captain of the country played 20 Tests and 34 ODIs for India in an international career of about 17 years. Along with that, Edulji also played a leading role in the formation of the most successful domestic cricket team in the history of women's cricket in India. 

Aravinda has an illustrious career for Sri Lanka. He has spread light in a career of 19 years. He also made a big contribution to the 1996 World Cup victory of the Lankans.

Virender Sehwag also has the achievement of winning the World Cup for the country. The destructive opener was a key member of India in the 2011 World Cup. Almost 17000 runs came from his bat in international cricket in a career of almost 14 years.

They will be honored with a place in the Hall of Fame on November 15 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India and New Zealand will meet in the first semi-final of the World Cup on that day.
