Virat Kohli urges friends to not request him for tickets for ICC ODI World Cup 2023

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli made the headlines today after he made a witty request to his friends on his micro-blogging Instagram handle. India's batting great requested his friends to not ask him for tickets for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.

We can expect plenty of fans to turn up in numbers to watch the highly-anticipated World Cup, which is less than a day away from the kick-off.
Virat Kohli humbly requested his friends to not ask for tickets but instead, he told them to enjoy the World Cup at home. “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your homes pls,” Kohli posted on his Instagram story this morning.
Kohli's post started doing the rounds on the internet and what came next was a surprise to many. Virat Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma took a screengrab of Virat Kohli's story and then added a hilarious caption to it and posted it on her Instagram story.
"And let me just add ... please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding," Anushka Sharma wrote. Interestingly, both of their stories were widely circulated on social media.
Meanwhile, India will be playing their first game of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 against Australia on October 8, Sunday at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. When Rohit Sharma was asked if Team India would enter the tournament as the favourites, the Indian skipper while speaking to Indian Express added, "I don’t have an answer for it. How can I say that now? All I can hope is that the team is in a good space. Everybody is fit and fine. That’s all I can hope for. I cannot say beyond this. Space is such an important factor and it’s a very key thing now."
