Afghanistan have announced their ODI squad for Ireland series after the one off test match. Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan are still in recovery process, hence they'll not be in the squad of the ODI series which starts from March 7th.

But the bolster Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, who shone in the recent ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2024 in South Africa, has earned a maiden call-up to the senior ODI team.

"Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman continue to recover from their respective injuries and are unavailable for selection," ACB Chief Selector Mr. Ahmad Shah Sulimankhil said.

"However, we have included some of the top-performing youngsters in Nangyal Kharoti and Bilal Sami. Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar is a very talented cricketer and has demonstrated excellent skills during the U19 World Cup. He will provide cover in Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s in the ODI series against Ireland.”

All three matches of the series will be played in Sharjah. The series begins on March 7 with the next two games on March 9 and March 12 respectively. It's an away series for Ireland, while it's a home challenge for the Afghans.
