The Australian gun batter Travis Head was benched in the first match of Sunrisers Hyderabad, in where they lost the match by 4 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. But getting back into the side, Travis Head set the stage on fire and became the fastest man to smack a fifty of SRH history.

Opting to bowl first, Head was dropped on 5 off Hardik Pandya at mid off, as Tim David dropped red basket catch. And then Travis Head disclosed his real face to smash the Mumbai bowlers. He went for 6,6,4,4 against the young protea pace sensation Kwena Maphaka, ripped through Hardik Pandya's second over with hat-trick of boundaries, punished Gerald Coetzee for 23 off the over to make history for SRH as he raced his way to fifty off only 18 balls, which is the fastest by any batter from SRH history. Also he gave SRH their most runs in the powerplay in the history of IPL. SRH today scored 81-1, which is highest ever for them since the inception of their participation in this league. 

However Gerald Coetzee took his revenge by picking up the wicket of Head when he was 62 off 24 balls, his tornado innings was orchestrated by 9 fours and 3 monstrous blows.
