Bangladesh young batter Towhid Hridoy performed very well in the first foreign franchise league of his career. Jaffna Kings want him again even though he returned home midway from the Lanka Premier League (LPL). If Jaffna can secure the final, then Hridoy will again go to Sri Lanka to play the final match.

Hridoy had no experience playing in any foreign franchise tournament before this. LPL was therefore quite a new experience for him. The 22-year-old cricketer did not forget to seize the first opportunity. He won back-to-back matches with Jaffna with a great performance with the bat. He also won the praise of team members and supporters.  

Hridoy scored 155 runs in 6 matches. Jaffna also wanted him for the entire tournament. But as the national team camp started, Hridoy returned to the country to give the fitness test. However, his team reached the playoffs. Jaffna still need to play two matches to reach the final.

They will face B-Love Kandy in the eliminator match. If they win in the eliminator, they will play against the losing team of qualifier 1. If they win that match then Jaffna will get the ticket for the final. If Jaffna go to the final, Hridoy will rejoin his team to play the final match.

In the first qualifier of the LPL, Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura will meet at noon on August 17. Jaffna will play the eliminator on the same day night. The second qualifier match will be held on the night of August 19.
