Bangladesh faced defeat in their second match in the World Cup. Bangladesh, who started the World Cup by defeating Afghanistan, stumbled in the match against England. The Tigers lost against the world champions by a huge margin of 137 runs.  

The Tigers seemed very disorganized in the match. The bowlers gave away runs with casual bowling. On the other hand, they lost one wicket after another in batting. All in all, the Tigers lost by a big margin. At the end of the match, pacer Taskin Ahmed also blames themselves for the loss, not giving any excuses.

Talking to the media after the match, Taskin said, "If you consider the performance of two matches as haphazard after two years of achievement, it is a failure. We will try to do well in the future. That's what I have been telling you. There's no point in giving an excuse. We couldn't bowl well."

He added, “The outfield was a bit soft. It was difficult to run. But there is no point in making excuses here. Conditions are not under our control. We should have been adjusted. But we actually bowled badly in this match to the best of our ability.”

Taskin further said, “Actually we could not implement according to the plan. Everyone may have had a bad day. Everyone could not give their best. There is no point in making excuses for anything.”

Bangladesh has played two matches in the World Cup so far, winning one and losing one. The next match is on October 13, against New Zealand.
