USA head coach Stuart Law praises Bangladesh bowlers after their series against Bangladesh. USA won the three-match T20I series by 2-1.

To avoid the whitewash, Bangladesh needed a win and pacer Mustafizur Rahman came up with his career best T20I bowling figure, where he picked up 6 wickets after giving away just 10 runs in 4 overs including a maiden. In reply, the opening duo of Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Soumya Sarkar string a hundred run partnership together to blow away USA in the third T20I. This was Bangladesh's first-ever 10-wicket win in T20Is.

In the post-match press conference, Law said, “I think one thing that Bangladesh did really well, they learned each game. So their bowlers came with different plans all the time. They played Hasan Mahmud, who hasn't played a game in the series, and he's got real pace. He's got good pace. So he tried to use that pace. It's not a pitch for using pace. We saw Mustafizur in his first over. Every ball was a cutter. Tanzim Sakib came in. He tried to bow fast. Not on this pitch. You don't need to do that. Maybe in other pitches in the series, yes, but they're the guys who we got and the guys that bowled the cutters and bowled the way the pitch required were very, very difficult to hit.”

Law also praises Shakib Al Hasan and says that they could’ve done better against the Bangladesh spinners. “Shakib Al Hasan is still rated one of the best all-rounders in world cricket. He bowled beautifully out there. Their leg spinner (Rishad Hossain), I don't really trust leg spinners in Bangladesh. They're more for left arm spin. But the big man bowled beautifully today. You don't have to turn it square, just a little bit enough to make it difficult. But there were things we could have done better. You know, we could have grabbed an opportunity to maybe pull out a sweepshot every now and then to just put the bowl are under a bit more pressure. But as I said to a few of the boys, it's very easy sitting out on the sideline. we've always scored 100 from the sideline. It's a piece of cake out there. When you go out there it's a lot more. It's a lot more difficult.”

Bangladesh and USA will meet again in a warm-up match before the main event. USA will face Canada in the opening match of the T20 World Cup on June 2 .
