Najibullah Zadran (born 28 February 1993) is an Afghan cricketer and vice-captain of the Afghanistan Twenty20 International (T20I) team. Zadran is a left-handed batsman who throws right arm off the break. In July 2012 he made his international debut for Afghanistan.

Najibullah Zadran was born on February 28, 1993 in Logar. Najibullah Zadran made his debut for Afghanistan national cricket team in ODI format in 2012.

Playing primarily as a team batsman, Najibullah Zadran is a prolific left-handed batsman who has scored many runs for teams in both domestic and international cricket. He can also play part-time spin and bowl with his right arm. He is a brilliant outfield player and can set up anywhere on the ground. He is good with both his ground field and his catching.

Najibullah Zadran plays for the Afghan National Cricket Team ODI/T20/Test format. He represents the Afghan Cheetas, Afghan Under-19s, Band-e-Amir region, Boost region, Montreal Tigers, St. Lucia Zouks and Winnipeg Hawks team in domestic cricket.

T20 Franchise Career

On June 3, 2018, Zadran was selected to play for the Montreal Tigers in player draft for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament.

In September 2018, he was called up to Kandahar's squad for the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament. The following month he was called up to the squad for the Chittagong Vikings team following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League.

In June 2019, Zadran was selected to play for the Winnipeg Hawks franchise in the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament. In November 2019, he was selected to play for the Khulna Tigers in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League.

In August 2020, he was called up to the St. Lucia Zouks roster for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League, replacing Colin Ingram who missed the competition due to visa restrictions.

In April 2021, Zadran was signed by Karachi Kings to take part in the rescheduled Pakistan Super League 2021 matches. In November 2021, he was selected by draft player for the 2021 Lanka Premier League to play for the Dambulla Giants.

Domestic Career

Zadran made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs in the Faysal Bank Twenty20 Cup against the Rawalpindi Rams.

Zadran captained Afghanistan U23 team at the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

International Career

Zadran represented the Afghan U19s in the 2011 World Cup U19 qualifier in Ireland. Zadran made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs in the Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup against the Rawalpindi Rams. He made two more appearances in this competition against Faisalabad Wolves and Multan Tigers. He averaged 29.00 for 58 runs in those three appearances, not missing out on a high score of 51. That result came against Rawalpindi Rams in a match in which he also claimed his first wicket when he sacked Sohail Tanvir.

In December 2018, Zadran was named captain of Afghanistan under-23 team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. In March 2019, he scored his first ODI century in the third ODI against Ireland.

In April 2019, Zadran was called up to Afghanistan's 15-man squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In July 2021, Zadran was appointed vice-captain of the Afghan T20I team.

In September 2021, he was named to Afghanistan's squad for the 2021 ICC T20 Men's World Championship.
