South Africa have announced a 14-member squad for upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which commences from 27th November in Durban. Captain Temba Bavuma has passed the fitness test and he'll lead the Proteas in the home series.

South Africa's Test captain, Temba Bavuma, has recovered from a left elbow injury that sidelined him during the recent series against Bangladesh, where the Proteas thrashed the home side by 2-nil. Young prodigious all-rounder Marco Jansen and fast bowler Gerald Coetzee also returned to the Test squad for the first time since the India Tests last summer.

Temba Bavuma (Captain), David Bedingham, Gerald Coetzee, Tony de Zorzi, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder, Senuran Muthusamy, Dane Paterson, Kagiso Rabada, Tristan Stubbs, Ryan Rickelton, and Kyle Verreynne (Wicketkeeper).

The Test series is vital for both the teams as Sri Lanka stands on third in WTC standings, while South Africa on fifth. But South Africa have two home Tests series; one against Pakistan and another against Sri Lanka. While the Lankans will play an away tour in South Africa and a home Test series against Australia.

If South Africa can manage to beat both the Lankans and Pakistan at home, then they'll have massive chance to play the finals at Lord's.
