India's wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant took a swipe at the win predictor following the team's thriller victory over Pakistan in the group stage match of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024.
Rishabh PantPakistani bowlers produced a masterful bowling display to keep the Indian batsmen in check throughout the game as the Men in Blue were bowled out for 119 in 19 overs.
Rishabh Pant was the pick of the batters for Team India as he top-scored with 42 off 31 deliveries where he hammered six fours at a strike rate of 135.48.
After India's innings, the win predictor displayed only 8% chance of India winning the game whereas it predicted that Pakistan have 92% chance of sealing the deal.
Nevertheless, India turned the tables around by restricting Pakistan to 113/7 in 20 overs and clinched the thriller by six runs. Following India's result, Pant took to his official Instagram handle and trolled the win predictor by posting the screenshot of "India's 8% chance of winning".
Rishabh Pant who led the batting attack by example drew plaudits for his batting performance and Ravi Shastri was one of them who praised the wicketkeeper-batsman.
"All I say for Rishabh. But first of all, brilliant performance and great character shown by guys. But I had tears in my eyes when I heard about his accident. When I saw him in hospital, it was even worse. Then for him to come back from there and be back in the A-zone playing one of the biggest games of all time, India vs Pakistan, is heartwarming," said former India's head coach Ravi Shastri in a video posted on bcci.tv.
