Sydney Thunder were bowled out for an unbelievable 15 runs against Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League (BBL), a record low in a professional Twenty20 match.

Adelaide won by 124 runs scoring 139 runs. This is the first time in 20-over cricket that a team collapsed below 20 runs. The previous record was 21. Turkey had such an experience in 2019 in response to Czech Republic's 278 runs.

The previous lowest in the Big Bash was 57. Melbourne Renegades scored against Melbourne Stars in 2015.

After winning the toss and batting first, Adelaide Strikers could not manage a big total. They scored 139 runs after losing 9 wickets in the 20 overs.

Chris Lynn scored the highest 36 runs for the team, hitting 4 fours and 1 six off 27 balls. Besides, Colin de Grandhomme scored 33 runs off 24 balls with two fours and sixes. No one else could cross the 15-run mark. For Sydney Thunder, Fazalhaq Farooqi took three wickets and Gurinder Sandhu, Daniel Sams and Brendan Doggett took got wickets each.

The two openers Alex Hales and Matthew Gilkes returned to the dressing room scoring zero runs. The team lost the first 2 wickets for 5 runs and the last 8 wickets for 10 runs.  Total of 5 players got out for zero runs.
