Shakib Al Hasan's franchise team in Global T20 League has been changed. In the last edition of GT20, he played for Montreal Tigers and in the upcoming edition he'll play for Bangla Tigers Mississauga.

In the last edition of GT20, barring Shakib Bangladeshi Litton Das also participated in the league. GT20 has become a force in international franchise Cricket as they started recruiting top cricketers of the world.

Without Shakib, Marcus Stoinis, Sunil Narine, Kyle Mayers, Chris Lynn, Sherfane Rutherford, Naveen Ul Haq, Iftikhar Ahmed, Colin Munro, David Warner, Andrew Tye, Babar Azam, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Rizwan will feature GT20 this year.

Last year, Litton batter 7 innings and piled up 152 runs at an average of 21.71 and a strike rate of only 100.66. Whilst Shakib played 4 innings and scored 102 runs at an average of 25.50 and a jaw dropping strike rate of 154.54.

In the Final of GT20 2023, Shakib's former team Montreal Tigers faced Litton's Surrey Jaguars, where Shakib's Montreal Tigers thumped Surrey Jaguars.

The upcoming edition of GT20 will start from 25th July and the final will take place on 11th July.

Shakib is currently playing the ICC Men's T20 World Cup for Bangladesh and his side has reached to the Super-Eight, so Shakib might miss some few matches at the start of the league.
