Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is away from cricket following the International Cricket Council (ICC) ban. The ban will end next October. In the current coronavirus situation, he stands with his organization ‘The Shakib Al Hasan Foundation’. Shakib preparing for 2023 World Cup

Besides, he’s also thinking about cricket. More precisely, from now on, Shakib is thinking about the 2023 ODI World Cup. Responding to a fan question on setting up the Bangladesh team for the 2023 World Cup on Instagram, Shakib said,

"Not much is needed. I think what is needed is already there. Now the team has almost everything there. However, the care of the cricketers is much needed. The preparation needs to be good. I think we can be a very good team and go to the World Cup.”

In the last World Cup in 2019, Shakib scored 606 runs and took 12 wickets in 8 matches. The 2023 World Cup will be held in India. While the conditions of the subcontinent are helpful to Bangladesh, India is far from invincible on their own soil. Shakib believes that Bangladesh will be more involved in the World Cup three years later. He added, “The tournament will be in India. The conditions there are the same as ours. But the conditions in the ICC tournament do not make much difference. The wicket will be batting friendly, which was also in the World Cup in 2015 and 2019.” Shakib Al Hasan is now in the United States with his family at the lockdown amid coronavirus terror. A second daughter is coming to their family. From there, he went back to the days of the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), “The most memorable and most fun time I had was the BKSP. Yes, the first two and a half months were difficult. Leaving family with new people and living alone…. But every day after that, I think I can write a book. That was the fun of my BKSP life. So much fun that I even went to BKSP on vacation.”
