Mustafizur Rahman's relationship with Chetan Sakariya is great. This relationship may not be called 'friendship' due to the difference in fame, age, and experience of the two. From Chetan Sakariya's point of view, the relationship is student-teacher.
Sakariya sees this cutting expert pacer of Bangladesh as a coach. The two have been 'teammates' in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since they played for Rajasthan Royals. Then they moved to Delhi Capitals together.
However, Mustafizur stepped out of India leaving Sakariya. Although the IPL is not over yet, rather the most exciting time has just begun. Mustafizur, who left the IPL to play for the national team, wrote on Instagram, “It's time for National duty. Heading to England for Ireland vs Bangladesh ODI series. Keep team Bangladesh in your prayers.”
In that Instagram post, Sakariya put Mustafiz in the seat of 'coach' and wrote, “All the best coach, send some tips.”
Sakariya revealed his love for Mustafizur while playing in Rajasthan. Sakariya said, “Mustafizur understands the wicket very well. He can tell you exactly when to hit the slower ball. He knows how to get a batter down.”
However, Mustafizur’s time didn’t go well in this year’s IPL. He played just two matches and took only one wicket. Sakariya is in the same boat. He played just a match and took two wickets but with the economy rate of over 13.
