Pakistan thrashed Zimbabwe by 10 wickets on Tuesday (November 26) to level the series by 1-1. Four-fer from Abrar Ahmed and three wicket-haul from Agha Salman ripped through Zimbabwe's batting lineup to bundle them out for a paltry 145 runs. In reply, Saim Ayub blasted a swashbuckling hundred to steer Pakistan home.
Opting to bat first, Zimbabwe didn't have a solid way to start the game as they lost their opener J Gumbie to Abrar Ahmed. While the other opener T Marumani was run-out. Dion Myers then partnered up with skipper Craig Ervine, as the duo stitched up for a 38-run stand before Agha Salman removed the latter one.
After then, wickets were tumbling. Zimbabwe kept losing wickets at regular intervals. It was Abrar Ahmed and Agha Salman, who damaged the entire Zimbabwe batting lineup and folded them for a paltry 145 runs.
In reply, Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique started briskly. Chasing 146, the openeres took no time to chase this down. Saim Ayub was the accelerator as he blasted the second fastest ODI hundred for Pakistan off only 53 deliveries. Pakistan chased this down only 18.2 overs and helped Pakistan level the ODI series comfortably.
Saim Ayub was adjusted as the player of the match for his sensational 113* off just 62 deliveries.
