Coming to other changes, all-rounder Craig Overton has been included in the squad after James Anderson was believed to be ruled out for the remaining 2 matches having suffered a recurrence of his injury. Chris Woakes was especially poor in the previous Test, picking just 2 wickets and scoring six runs. Overton, on the contrary, doesn’t boast of a very good record in the format either, but he shows some good fight on the pitch and has also had a taste of the Ashes before.
