India’s assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate has provided a positive update on Rinku Singh’s fitness ahead of the fourth T20I match of the ongoing five-match T20I series against England. The crucial encounter will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday (January 31).

Rinku, who had been sidelined after sustaining a back spasm during fielding in the first T20I in Kolkata, has recovered and is fit for selection. The left-handed batter missed the second and third T20Is due to the injury but has been an essential part of India’s lower order, playing the role of the finisher. His absence was felt in the middle order during India's recent games.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ten Doeschate mentioned that Rinku is fully fit and ready for selection. He expressed confidence in Rinku’s ability to return to the playing XI if deemed necessary by the team management.
"Rinku is fit. He played the first game, hurt himself and missed the next two. But I would imagine Rinku comes back in as soon as he’s proper fit. He batted the other night and I think he’ll be ready to go tomorrow," Ten Doeschate said, as quoted by News 18.
Rinku's return could provide much-needed stability to the Indian batting line-up, especially in the lower order where he has been known to play crucial finishing roles in T20 cricket.
