Scotland crushed UAE by a massive margin of 111 runs to register their 2nd victory in the tournament. Skipper Richie Berrington's magnificent hundred helped Scotland cruise pass the challenge of UAE on Firday (23rd June).

Earlier the day, United Arab Emirates won the toss and chose to bowl first. Being put into bat first, Scotland fell into a deep trouble as they lost their top three inside inside the powerplay. At one point, they were stuttering for 25-3. Michael Leask and skipper Richie Berrington started to pack things as they collected bulk of the runs. They added 67 runs together before Leask saw himself in the hands of Zahoor Khan. However after the departure of Leask, Richie Berrington took the onus on his shoulders and started to smack the UAE bowlers. Throughout the passage of play, he notched up his hundred and made a swashbuckling 127 off 136 balls.

At the end, Mark Watt's quick-fire cameo of 44 off 31 deliveries helped Scotland a massive total of 282-8 on the board. Junaid Siddique once again was the pick of the bowlers for UAE as he picked up 3 wickets, while his bowling partner Ali Naseer struck twice in the innings.

In reply of 283, UAE crumbled infront of Scotland's quality bowling attack. They lost 3 wickets inside the 6 overs and were stuttering for 34-3. Opener Mohammad Waseem made 36 off 57, while middle order batter Basil Hameed scored 30 off 29. None of them could make their innings longer and that's exactly where UAE lost the plot and eventually the match as well.
