Reports : Pakistan U19 to Compete in 50-Over Tri-Series with Afghanistan and UAE in November

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Wednesday that the Pakistan U19 cricket team will play a 50-over tri-series against Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from November 13 to November 26.
The venue for the tri-series has yet to be announced. However, the PCB has confirmed that the series will adopt a double-league format, with each team playing the others twice. The top two teams will then advance to the final, scheduled for November 26. Pakistan will face the UAE in the series' opening match.
“This series will be played in the build-up to the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2024 and will provide an excellent opportunity for the three sides to finalize their preparations for the competition, whose details will be announced by the ACC in due course,” stated the PCB.
The schedule for the U19 tri-series is as follows:
13 November – Pakistan vs UAE
15 November – Afghanistan vs Pakistan
17 November – UAE vs Afghanistan
19 November – Pakistan vs Afghanistan
21 November – Afghanistan vs UAE
23 November – UAE vs Pakistan
26 November – Final
The PCB has expressed gratitude to the Emirates Cricket Board for organizing the tri-series, highlighting the strong bilateral ties and shared commitment to developing young cricketers. “The PCB is thankful to the Emirates Cricket Board for arranging this tri-series which also shows strong bilateral ties between both the Boards and our shared commitment toward developing young players,” PCB Director International Usman Wahla said.
Bangladesh won the previous U19 Asia Cup, defeating the UAE in the final, while India lost in the semi-finals.
