Records in tatters as India reach a new high in T20I Cricket
India have amassed a mountainous 283 runs on the board. Sanju Samson blasted 109* off only 56 deliveries, including 9 sixes and 6 boundaries, while Tilak Varma smashed 120* off just 47 deliveries, which included 10 massive sixes and 9 boundaries.

India have teared apart some records in the last and fourth T20I against South Africa in Johannesburg. It was the berserk partnership between Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma which helped India script new records of T20I Cricket.
India have amassed a mountainous 283 runs on the board. Sanju Samson blasted 109* off only 56 deliveries, including 9 sixes and 6 boundaries, while Tilak Varma smashed 120* off just 47 deliveries, which included 10 massive sixes and 9 boundaries.
Tilak Varma has become the only second Indian batter to make back-to-back centuries in T20I Cricket. Previously Sanju Samson has done this job. And also this is the only fourth time in T20I Cricket to score consecutive hundreds.
283-1 is India's second highest total in a T20I innings. Their highest total is 297-6 against Bangladesh in Hyderabad in 2024.
