Rajshahi’s Tanzid Hasan Tamim smashes century on day one of NCL

On the first day of the National Cricket League (NCL), Rajshahi Division's opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim stole the show with a blistering century. His 141-run knock off 133 balls set a strong foundation for Rajshahi against Khulna Division. Farhad Hossain is also closing in on a century, remaining unbeaten on 91 by the end of the day.
At stumps, Rajshahi had accumulated 385/4 in 90 overs. Farhad Hossain (91* off 188 balls) and Shakhir Hossain (61* off 118 balls) remained unbeaten.
For Khulna, Mahedi Hasan was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets. Al-Amin Hossain and Abdul Halim picked up one wicket each.
In another match, Dhaka Metro scored 102/1 in 44 overs against Barishal Division at the Sylhet Academy Ground. Anisul Islam contributed 36 runs off 59 balls, while Imran Uzzaman (35* off 134 balls) and Aich Mollah (26* off 72 balls) were still at the crease. Barishal’s Ruyel Miah took the only wicket of the day.
Rain delayed the start of the other two matches, preventing even the toss.
