In a strong response FanCode the official digital streaming partner of PSL in India has suspended all live coverage and removed PSL-related content from its platform.
As per a Times of India report the decision took effect from Thursday just two days after the horrific attack on April 22. Although FanCode has not issued an official statement users attempting to access PSL content on its website are now met with a 403 Forbidden error indicating the removal of access.
The move came amid growing criticism on social media, with many Indian users demanding a complete boycott of cricketing ties with Pakistan in the wake of the terror strike.
Indian cricket fans and social media users welcomed the suspension of PSL 2025 streaming seeing it as a symbolic and powerful gesture of solidarity with the victims and their families.
The 10th edition of the PSL began on April 11 and is scheduled to run until May 18. Notably this is the first time the PSL is clashing with the IPL which significantly affected the PCB’s ability to secure broadcasting rights in India. FanCode was one of the few platforms streaming PSL matches in the country.
