Tanzim Hasan Sakib (born October 20, 2002) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. On 27 March 2019, he made his List A debut for Krira Shikkha Protishtan of Bangladesh in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. In December 2019, he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his first-class debut on 29 March 2021 for Sylhet Division in the 2020–21 National Cricket League. He made his Twenty20 debut on 5 June 2021 for Abahani Limited in the 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League.

In December 2021, he was named in the Bangladesh team for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies. He was subsequently named as a substitute in Bangladesh's team for the 2023 Asia Cup. He made his ODI debut on September 15, 2023 against India in the 2023 Asia Cup.
Early Life
Tanzim Hasan Sakib was born on October 20, 2002 in Tilakchanpur village of Sadar Union in Balaganj Upazila of Sylhet. His father's name is Gauch Ali and his mother's name is Selina Begum. He received a Talent Pool Scholarship for PEC examination from Adityapur Government Primary School, Balaganj. After that, he got admission in Balaganj Government DN Model High School.
Career
While studying in the eighth standard, Tanzim Hasan Shakib passed selection at the Moulvibazar District Stadium to form the U13 national team and after completing a three-month bowling course at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, he was accepted into the BKSP. While training at BKSP, he played for the Bangladesh U17 national cricket team in India in 2016 and the U19 national team in England and Sri Lanka in 2019. On March 27, 2019, he qualified for A cricket for the Sports Education Institute cricket team in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2018-19 tournament. He was named as a substitute in Bangladesh's squad for the 2023 Asia Cup. He made his ODI debut on September 15, 2023 against India in the 2023 Asia Cup.
Controversy
In September 2023, Tanzim was widely criticized for a series of Facebook posts that were deemed misogynistic by various media outlets. His opinion divided the country's population into two camps. Many people claim that according to the country's constitution, everyone has the right to freedom of expression. However, he apologized for his comment to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, saying that he had no intention of hurting anyone and apologized to those who were hurt. He denied the claim that he was a misogynist, saying: "My mother is a woman, so I can never be a misogynist." Fellow cricketer Mehidy Hasan Miraz said on social media that although he attributed the comments to a "wrong The way I posted it was clear to him (Tanzim) that he never intended to show any misogyny in his comment.
