Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah began the final phase of his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore today.
The young pacer was injured during the Asian Cup in September and subsequently underwent surgery in the UK. After the operation, he remained in the UK for two months for rehabilitation and initial training as the PCB covered his medical costs and he received ongoing care from a team of medical professionals.
“Naseem’s rehabilitation continues at NCA, Lahore under the care of a strength and conditioning coach, a physiotherapist and a doctor. He is currently doing light gymnastics exercises and some bowling exercises and will start batting tomorrow.”
It is noteworthy that Naseem Shah was transferred from Quetta Gladiators to Islamabad United for Mohammad Wasim Jr and Abrar Ahmed last week ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 draft.
The PSL Player Draft for the ninth season will be held on December 13, 2023 at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
The retentions and trades must be completed before the PSL 9 Player Draft after the conclusion of the National T20.
