North Zone beat East Zone to clinch BCL One Day title
Two openers Habibur Rahman Sohan and Tanzid Hasan Tamim gave the team a flying start chasing the target. Sohan, who scored 17 runs off 3 fours and 10 balls, returned in the fourth over of the innings. Tanzid Tamim continued to bat aggressively despite Sohan's departure. However, Amit Hasan and Abdullah Al Mamun, who came to accompany him, could not settle down.

Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Parvez Hossain Emon brought the fighting capital to the East Zone with the bat. But their batting prowess was dimmed by Pritom Kumar and Akbar Ali's twin half-centuries. Due to their batting, North Zone became the champion of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) by beating the target of 276 runs with 38 balls in hand.

In the over after Mamun's departure, Tanzid was also dismissed. The opener scored 43 runs off 46 balls hitting 5 fours and a six. North Zone was under pressure losing 4 wickets for 88 runs from 1 wicket for 65 runs.
Pritom Kumar led the team from there. Taibur Rahman resisted with him. Pritom and Taibur added 90 runs together. The North Zone came back to the match with this pair. Taibur was dismissed for 24 runs off 30 balls.
After that, Captain Akbar Ali went to chase the target with Pritom. Their well-timed batting kept North Zone rolling. These two never allowed the asking run rate to increase. Pritom was run out in the 42nd over of the innings after scoring 76 runs off 86 balls. His innings consisted of 6 fours and 1 six. Akbar Ali also hit an equal number of four-sixes. Even though Pritam was out, Akbar, who was unbeaten on 53 runs from 59 balls, left the field to secure the title of the team.
Earlier, East Zone scored 275 runs for 6 wickets after batting 50 overs. Nahid Rana took 5 wickets out of 6 wickets.
