After such a one-sided final, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan said that Bangladesh was the only team that could compete with India in the Asia Cup. India was unbeaten in the entire tournament except for a 6-run loss to Bangladesh.
Irfan said in the media, “Such a final can be enjoyed very rarely. Such a match is not often seen. It was a one-sided match. No one but Bangladesh could compete with India in the Asia Cup. India's original team did not play again against Bangladesh. The other teams did not do well in the matches in which the top players participated.”
"A win like this before the World Cup will boost India's confidence. India's bowling unit was superb against Sri Lanka. [Mohammed] Siraj, and [Jasprit] Bumrah were outstanding. The Pacers were in good form throughout the tournament. I don't want to think that any other team would have created more competition.”
India was unbeaten in the Asia Cup except for the Super Four Bangladesh match. After eleven long years, Bangladesh defeated India in the Asia Cup. In the group stage, the Pakistan match was abandoned due to rain, but India gave Pakistan a huge defeat in the Super Four.
