Bangladesh women’s team have got the opportunity to play ODI series against India women team for the first time. And Bangladesh won by 41 runs by surprising everyone in the first match of the three-match ODI series on Sunday.. Although happy with this historic victory, the leader of the Bangladesh Nigar Sultana is unhappy with the performance of the batters.

After losing the toss and batting first, Bangladesh lost two wickets for 14 runs. Fargana Hoque and Nigar handled the initial blow They both got out after being set. Their partnership of 49 runs was broken when Fargana departed. Fargana was dismissed for 27 runs off 45 balls. Nigar also got out after crossing the team's hundred runs. She scored 39 runs off 64 balls. Nigar is unhappy with themselves for settling down and getting out.

After the match, she said, "I think we were 30-40 runs short. Because I and Pinky (Fargana Hoque) settled on the wicket. But it was us who threw our own wickets. In fact, it was the middle-order and lower-order battersthat gave us a fighting score."

The 50 over match was reduced to 44 overs due to rain. Bangladesh were all out for 152 runs in 43 overs. Bangladesh women planned to bowl out India's strong batting lineup for 120 runs.

Talking about the plan, Nigar added, "Then we aimed to bowl them out for 120 runs. So, our plan worked. Of course all credit to the bowlers, because they understood the pitch very well and bowled according to wicket. The bowling was excellent. Everyone tried hard and that's what motivated the team. I'm proud of my team."

India's batting lineup consists of Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur etc which is one of the best in women’scricket. Nigar also explained why the Tigers planned to bowl out this batting lineup for 120 runs.

"We thought that if our batters struggled, they would too. So our plan was to take quick wickets in the powerplay. Marufa bowled well in the powerplay. Also Sultana, Nahida. We tried to execute our plan and it worked," she further said.
