After winning the toss United Arab Emirates again chose to bowl first. Being put into bat first, New Zealand once again saw a barren start with both of the openers fell cheaply inside the powerplay.
But New Zealand got their groove back with Will Young and Mark Chapman's fluent partnership. The duo added 84 runs before the former fell to Mohammad Faraazuddin after scoring a fine 56 off 46 balls.
However Mark Chapman was kept going and he made a fantastic 51 off just 32 balls, followed by his last match's heroic. This time his innings was orchestrated with 5 boundaries and 2 massive sixes and he played with a jaw dropping 159. 38 strike rate. At the end, Mitchell Santner's little cameo of 20 off 11 balls helped New Zealand post 166-5 after 20 overs.

Aayan Khan was the only batter who managed to middle the most balls, but he didn't get enough support from Hameed or any other batter. Basil Hameed was culprit in this innings as he was unbeaten on 24* but he consumed 28 deliveries to score it. However Lister bowled for 3 wickets and Nz won the match by 32 runs and took the series by 2-1.
