The newly renovated National Stadium Karachi will be inaugurated tomorrow evening with an atmospheric ceremony featuring fireworks and an impressive light show. Entry for the public is free.

The National Stadium Karachi is now ready to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has been closely monitoring the renovation progress. Thanks to the hard work of workers who put in long hours, the project was completed in just 120 days.

The reopening event will be colorful and feature performances by well-known singers, dazzling fireworks and a captivating light show. Admission for the public is free.

According to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the renovation work began on September 28 and was completed on January 31.

The entire pavilion building was rebuilt. In preparation for the 2025 Champions Trophy, new seating has been installed in all enclosures and modern LED lights, advanced scoring screens and grills have been installed throughout the stadium.

“The pavilion building was completely demolished and rebuilt, and new chairs were installed in all areas,” he noted.

Mohsin Naqvi praised the dedication of the workers involved in the stadium renovation and highlighted the contributions of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), Nespak, the contractors and the PCB team. He acknowledged their tireless efforts in completing the renovation project.

The PCB Chairman assured that world-class facilities have been provided for both spectators and players, especially in view of the upcoming Champions Trophy where visiting teams will enjoy world-class amenities.

Additionally, in a post on X, Naqvi announced that notable figures from Pakistan's music industry, including Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, and Sahir Ali Bagga, will perform at the inauguration ceremony.
