On June 1, the public will be able to see Nassau County International Cricket Stadium for the first time when Bangladesh meet India in a practice match before the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Credit: OlympicsResidents of Nassau County, those who already have World Cup tickets, and spectators who have registered for the pre-sale on Wednesday will all get early access to the tickets. On Thursday, the full set of available tickets will be made public. Tickets for the general public can be found at tickets.t20worldcup.com.

“We’re pleased to be able to open this warm-up match to the public, and especially glad to be able to provide another opportunity for local residents to see first-hand what’s happening in their back yard. Importantly, tickets and/or hospitality remain available for every match at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and we’d encourage fans to get them while they can to ensure we have a full venue while hosting these incredible athletes from all over the world,” said T20 USA CEO Brett Jones.

The official schedule of warm-up matches for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup has already been revealed. There are games slated to take place at two locations in Trinidad and Tobago, the West Indies, and around the United States from Monday, May 27 to Saturday, June 1.

The venues to host the 16 warm up matches are the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, Grand Prairie, Texas; Broward County Stadium, Broward County, Florida and Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago. Only the one match at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and one match in the West Indies will be open to fans.

Bangladesh will face USA again in a World Cup warm-up match. Additionally, in their second and final warm-up match of the World Cup, they will face India. Bangladesh will not face either the USA or India in the group stage of the World Cup. In this year's T20 World Cup, featuring 20 teams, Bangladesh is in 'Group D.' Group D includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Netherlands, and Nepal.

Bangladesh will start their T20I World Cup campaign with a match against Sri Lanka on June 8 in USA. There will be another match in USA for Bangladesh, against Bangladesh, on June 10. The other two matches against Netherlands and Nepal will be in West Indies.
