This is precisely how Mushtaq Ahmed, Bangladesh’s spin coach, views him. The Pakistani legend not only praised Joy but also lauded veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim. Both players were dismissed early on the third morning of the Dhaka Test, a disappointment that, according to Mushtaq, hurt them the most.

"Our players were more disappointed than anyone else. You know Mushfiqur—once he settles, he wants to play big innings. And Joy, he's a young player with a great temperament. He fights like a tiger. He did well in the first innings when the game was really tough. I joked with him, and he told me, 'Rabada's ball was swinging a lot. I was just trying to save my stumps and avoid LBW. I believed if I stayed at the crease, the runs would come.' It’s great to see such confidence in young players. It shows the team is heading in the right direction," said Mushtaq.

Despite their individual promise, there has been criticism about Bangladesh batters throwing their wickets away. Mushtaq expressed the team’s frustration with these soft dismissals, stating, "After working so hard, as a professional cricketer, getting out like that is frustrating. When you're scoring runs against a tough bowling attack and then lose your wicket cheaply, it’s naturally disappointing."
