India have announced squad for the upcoming five-match T20I against England, which begins from January 22 in Kolkata. India's ace paceman Mohammad Shami has returned to the Indian lineup after almost a year.

Mohammad Shami Mohammad Shami suffered an ankle surgery and then also had knee-related niggles. But Jasprit Bumrah wasn’t picked in this 15-men squad as he had picked up an injury during the fifth and Pink Test against Australia, which prevented him from bowling in the second innings.

Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant and youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal have given rested after featuring all the five Tests against Australia during the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel are the two wicketkeepers for the T20I's against England. Also batting all-rounder Riyan Parag has been missed out from this squad due to injury.

On the contrary, all-rounder Axar Patel has been rewarded and given the vice-captaincy role.

Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Sanju Samson (Wicketkeeper), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Dhruv Jurel (Wicketkeeper), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel (Vice-captain), Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarthy, Washington Sundar.

Schedules of India Vs England T20I's :

1. First T20I : Wednesday, January 22 in Kolkata. 
2. Second T20I : Saturday, January 25 in Chennai.
3. Third T20I : Tuesday, January 28 in Rajkot.
4. Fourth T20I : Friday, January 31 in Pune.
5. Fifth T20I : Sunday, February 2 in Mumbai. 

And then the teams will lock their horns for a three-match ODI series. India however didn’t yet name squad for the ODI series.
