Prior to his preparation for departure, Mohammad Shahid said, “Physicians assured me before that I need not go through surgical procedure. But now the injury seems worsen. So now I need the operation because it’s hard to deliver now without recovering.”
The 28 year old pace man seeks prayer from the countrymen for quick recovery; “Everyone please remember me in your prayers so that I could serve my country once again” – he said.
Shahid probably requires five to six months to recover and gain fitness after the surgical procedure. It can be noted that Mohammad Shahid got hurt in knee during the match between Comilla Victorians and Dhaka Dynamites during the last season Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He represented Dhaka Dynamites.
