Mitchell Starc Australia national cricket team star pacer will be seen in action in IPL 2025 as he turns out for the Delhi Capital (DC) franchise. Ahead of the highly anticipated IPL 2025 season Starc had high praise for the depth of talent in Indian cricket particularly after India national cricket team recent ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory.

According to the pacer the Men's in blue stands out as the only team in the world capable of fielding three separate teams in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is and still being competitive against top opposition.

Speaking on the YouTube channel FanaticsTV, Starc remarked, "I think they are probably the only nation that can have a Test team, a one-day team, and a T20 team play on the same day against Australia in the Test, England in the one-dayer, and South Africa in the T20I, and India will be competitive. No other country can do that."

In addition to his praise for India’s talent pool Starc also reflected on whether the Indian Premier League (IPL) has contributed to India’s dominance in white-ball cricket. While he acknowledged IPL’s significance he also highlighted that the depth of talent in India plays an even greater role.

"I'm not sure if it's an advantage per se because cricketers around the world get opportunities to play in various franchise leagues," Starc explained. "The Indian players are restricted to the IPL, but it's the number one product with so much international talent and all the Indian stars. It's at the top."

However, Starc warned that teams cannot rely solely on IPL experience to maintain their edge in world cricket. "There's no doubt it's a huge tournament, but I don't think you can sit on that because players around the world are playing in 5-6 franchise leagues a year, getting exposure to world cricket. The IPL helps, but it’s the depth in Indian cricket that makes the difference," he added.

The upcoming IPL 2025 will see Starc donning the Delhi jersey.
