Mitchell Starc's deadly spell crashed SRH top order and marginalized them to a middling score of 159. In reply, Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer brought up fifties to make the chase a cakewalk for KKR. With the victory KKR have reached to the finals of IPL 2024.

Choosing to bat first, SRH's decision backfired them severely. Mitchell Starc found his rhythm back and a beauty sent Head's stumps for a walk. Starc's opening spell got another one in Ahmed Shahbaz after knocking him over and SRH finished the powerplay being 45-4.

Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3 wickets on his day, while Varun Chakravarthy came second picking up two wickets to his name. Other bowlers chipped in with 1 wicket apiece.
In reply, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine started rapidly as the duo raced their way to 44 off just 3.2 overs before T Natarajan removed the former one on 23 off 14 balls. Sunil Narine also fell after then. Venkatesh Iyer and captain Shreyas Iyer stitched partnership and the chase became a cakewalk for them.
The former one made a brilliant 51 off just 28 deliveries, while the skipper Iyer scored a swashbuckling 58 off just 24 balls to help his sife chase down the total with more than 6 overs to go and 8 wickets in hands.
