England pacer Mark Wood is doubtful for the first three games of the five-game Test series against India in January-February 2024.

As the reports, England speedster Mark Wood is at risk of missing at least three Tests during next year's tour of India. The Durham speedster has signed a contract with the Dubai Capitals ahead of the second edition of the International League T20 which begins on 13 January 2024.

Currently one of the fastest bowlers in the Test game, Wood took 14 wickets in three Ashes Tests and helped change the series on his return to Headingley. He has signed a deal with the Dubai Capitals, who share ownership with the Indian Premier League's Delhi Capitals, which now puts his availability for England in question. With his pace and backswing, Wood would be a huge asset for England in India.

Mark Wood recently signed a deal with the Dubai Capitals to play in the second season of the ILT20. It has been learned that part of the contract is that the pacemaker must be present. The league begins on January 13, while the Test series against India will be played from January 25 to March 11.

Mark Wood was one of the main reasons England made a stunning return from a 2-0 loss at the Ashes 2023. The fast bowler disrupted the Australian batsman with his pace and took wickets at crucial points, taking him to 14 wickets in three games. In addition, he also made an equally good contribution with the racquet.

Mark Wood has yet to play a Test in India but he was exceptional in the IPL he played this year. The fast bowler has picked 11 wickets in just four games, including five wickets. He left the tournament midway through personal commitments.

England are touring India for a five-game Test series

England will travel to India in January. The first game will be played in Hyderabad on January 25th. The second game is scheduled to start on February 2nd in Visakhapatnam while the third game will be played on February 15th in Rajkot. The final two games will be played in Ranchi and Dharamsala on February 23 and March 7.

The last time England toured India it was a terrible game for them as they faced a 4-1 loss to the hosts. They looked clueless against the Indian spinners and were hoping for a better performance this time.
