Rishad Hossain's five-for has put Bangladesh Cricket Board XI on top of West Indies in the only three-day warm-up match at MA Aziz Stadium, Chattogram.

It was the first senior red-ball cricket match in the country since September. Ahead of the two-Test series, West Indies opted to bat first. Despite a solid start, West Indies stumbled to 257 allout in 79.1 overs. Skipper Kraigg Brathwaite top-scored with 85 runs off 187 balls, striking 10 boundaries. Brathwaite put on 67-run stand with John Campbell, who made 44, for the opening wicket. Shahadat Hossain Dipu made the first breakthrough before Rishad and Khaled Ahmed rattled the West Indian line-up. From being 110/1, the tourists got themselves to 131/5 in the second session. Kyle Mayers' 39-ball 40 and Alzarri Joseph's 28-ball 25 gave at least a competitive total. Batsman Saif Hassan also got amongst the wicket-takers, picking up Joshua Da Silva for 20. Khaled picked up the big wicket of Brathwaite in the final session as Rishad made a statement ahead of the Test series taking 5 for 75 in 23.1 overs. Khaled bowled 21 overs for 3/46, giving himself every chance of returning to the Test team. BCB XI openers ended on 24/0 in 8 overs with Saif (15*) and Shadman (3*) at the crease. Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel bowled three and four overs respectively while Rahkeem Cornwall was given one over to bowl.
