Scotland won a last ball thriller against Ireland to keep their hope alive in the tournament. Scotland chased down a massive total of 287 given by the Irish boy by 1 wicket on Wednesday (21 June).

Winning the toss, Scotland wanted to bowl first at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. Being put into bat first, Ireland fell into a deep sea. They lost their top four scoring only 33 runs. Brandon MacMullen was breathing fire as his first spell picked up 3 wickets from Irish armoury. When Andy McBrine saw himself in the hands of Mathew Cross Ireland were left 70-5. And then the stand between Curtis Campher and Docrell brought Ireland back in the game.

The duo added 136 runs in the sixth wicket stand to keep Ireland in the game. Docrell played the second fiddle role where Campher was dealing with boundaries. As a result, Docrell made 69 off 93 deliveries. Where Campher brought up his hundred and made a glorious 120 off 108 balls. The partnership helped Ireland post a formidable total of 286 on the board.

Chasing the total, Scotland too lost their top top two inside the powerplay. But their opener Christopher Mcbride did the storm of new ball and played a very good innings of 56 off 60. The middle order collapsed horribly and it seemed Ireland will lose the game until Micheal Leask arrived in the crease. After his arrival, he kept smacking the Irish and started to take away the game from Ireland. He got some help from Mark Watt, who scored a fluent 47 off 43 in the run chase.

In the last ball they needed 2 runs and Leask hit a boundary to take his side home. Micheal Leask played an exceptional knock of 91 off only 61 deliveries to keep Scotland's hope alive in the tournament.
