It was quite a historic day in Women’s cricket in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup, 2017 where Australia’s Meg Lanning stole the show playing a match winning knock of 152 runs and thus passed men’s limited over stalwarts like Hashim Amla, Virat Kohli and Quinton de Kock. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ কোহলি-আমলার রেকর্ড ভাঙ্গলেন ল্যানিং] The 135 ball 152 runs is the 11th century of Meg Lanning in one day international cricket thus she became the fastest to score 11 ODI centuries which took only 59 innings to complete. Meanwhile South Africa’s hard hitter Hashim Amla played 64 innings to score 11 centuries and Indian skipper Virat Kohli needed 82 innings to do so. The most interesting fact about Meg Lanning is that 8 of her 11 centuries came out in successful run chase that raced him ahead of legendary batsmen like Chris Gayle, Adam Gilchrist and Ricky Ponting. Meg is the only batsman in women’s cricket to score 11 centuries while England’s Charlotte Edwards is at number 2 with nine centuries. New Zealand’s Suzie Bates is at number three with 8 tons so far.
