Bangladesh star batter Litton Das was fabulous in the match against India yesterday in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Adelaide. His batting was so impressive that Virat Kohli also praised it. He even gifted his personal bat to Litton at the end of the match.

Litton hit the second-fastest half-century in this year’s World Cup from just 21 balls as well as it was the second-fastest by a Bangladeshi batter too in T20Is. His 27-ball 60 gave Bangladesh a flying start and a hope to win the match but in the end, they were short of 5 runs in the rain-hit match. However, Litton’s beautiful innings impressed all and everyone had been praising him since the match.

That's why Kohli was seen talking to Litton for a while when the two teams were shaking hands at the end of the match. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus revealed that Kohli gifted Litton a bat after the match.

“When we were sitting in the dining hall, Virat Kohli came and gifted Litton a bat. I think that's a huge inspiration for Litton,” he said.

He added, “Litton is a classic batter. See his shots, he always plays classic shots. He plays well in ODIs, Tests too. Lately, he’s doing well in T20 too. He did not do well in the T20 World Cup last year. Since then in all three formats, Litton is doing well.”

Bangladesh's hopes of playing in the semi-finals are often over after losing against India. They will play their last match against Pakistan on November 6.
