Australia women thumped Bangladesh women by 8 wickets on Wednesday (27th March) at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium to clean sweep Bangladesh by 3-0. Kim Garth and Ashleigh Gardner dominated with the ball to bundle out Bangladesh under 100 [89] for the third time on the trot. Chasing down 90, Aussie women lost 2 wickets but chased it down comfortably.


Opting to field first, Ellyse Perry ripped through Bangladesh top order with the new ball. She removed Sumaiya Akter and Murshida Khatun. Kim Garth then joined the party and teared apart Fargana Haque, Ritu Moni ans Fahima Khatun and left Bangladesh stutter for 32-5.

Skipper Nigar Sultana contributed with 16 runs, and at the backend of the innings Sultana Khatun's 10 off 11 and Marufa Akter's 15 from 14 helped them score 89 before getting bowled out.
