Batting all-rounder Raymon Reifer has been replaced in the West Indies team for the second Test against India, which will begin on Thursday, by spin bowling all-rounder Kevin Sinclair.
Reifer, though, will be around as an injury replacement. Earlier this year, in a three-game series against Bangladesh A, Sinclair finished with the most wickets for West Indies A. He also participated in the ICC World Cup Qualifier for the West Indies in Zimbabwe, where the Caribbean team ultimately fell short of making it to the 50-over tournament in India.
So far, Sinclair has appeared in seven One-Day Internationals and six Twenty Twenty Internationals for West Indies, racking up 11 and four wickets in those appearances, respectively.
Kraigg Brathwaite and Jermaine Blackwood continue to lead the team as captain and vice captain, respectively.
The Caribbean team's first game of the current ICC World Test Championship cycle ended in a humiliating loss to India by an innings and 141 runs. They believe they can go back to form in time for Thursday's second Test at Queen's Park Oval and tie the series.
