England

India won by 434 runs.
Man of the match | Ravindra Jadeja (India) |
Earlier, England started going heavily as there was no stopping for Ben Duckett. Ben Duckett scored a ridiculous 153 off only 151 deliveries which almost decimated the entire Indian bowling lineup. But India fought back by removing Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow in a span of two overs.
Ben Stokes scored a fine 41 off 89 balls and Ravindra Jadeja got him out. Things went in dismay in a blink of an eye as Everyone fell into furnace. England were bowled for 319 and were trailing India by 126 runs.
In India's second innings, Root trapped the Indian skipper infront of his pads for LBW. But Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill stitched a beautiful partnership of 155 runs off 195 runs, where Jaiswal notched up another majestic hundred in his little test career. While Shubman Gill brought up a fluent fifty.
India are now 196-2, effectively 322-2. India will be eyeing to score 450+ runs. While England will want to trigger a collapse to have a target of less than 400 runs.
